Pre-Adolescents & Adolescents

Treatment for pre-adolescents and adolescents, ages 11-19 is an area of focus. This is a time during which problems with adjustment, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma responses, and substance abuse, may arise. Treatment is focused on developing the tools to manage complicated emotions.

 
 

Adults

Individual treatment is provided for a variety of stressors and psychological conditions. Treatment is customized based on individual needs.

 Life Transitions

Change is certain and often alters our life patterns. Even positive changes can be stressful and require adjustment. Less ideal changes such as sudden unemployment, divorce, and loss of loved ones, can ce rtainly be devastating. Speaking with a professional to process feelings surrounding transitions and to identify desired next steps is effective for many.

 
 

Treatment Focus

Treatment is focused on reducing undesired behaviors and/or replacing undesirable behaviors with those that are more desirable. Treatment plans are railored for a variety of psychological disorders.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is offered to address a number of unproductive habits and psychological disorders. In CBT, an emphasis is placed on identifying and changing thoughts and behaviors that keep you feeling stuck. This approach has been supported by research and is effective for the treatment of depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress, disorders. Techniques for thinking in ways that lead to mental health improvement are offered. Treatment is geared toward helping clients identify problematic thoughts and behaviors that create and/or maintain mental illness in lifestyle issues. Results are often seen in as little as 3-6 months. Clients are taught valuable skills to use in all areas of your life.
